A Milli Kadın Basketbol Takımı ile Avrupa Şampiyonasında bronz madalya kazanan ve Dünya Şampiyonası dördüncülüğü yaşayan Tuğçe Canıtez, kariyerini noktaladığını duyurdu.
2022-2023 sezonunu ING Kadınlar Basketbol Süper Ligi ekiplerinden Galatasaray’da tamamlayan Tuğçe Canıtez, oyunculuk kariyerini noktaladığını açıkladı.

Tuğçe Canıtez, İzmirspor Kulübü’nde başladığı oyunculuk kariyeri boyunca; Ceyhan Belediyespor (2005-2009) NCAA’de Westmont Koleji (2011-2013), Fenerbahçe (2013-2022), Hatay Büyükşehir Belediyespor (2022) ve Galatasaray (2022-2023) takımlarının kadrolarında yer aldı.

Tuğçe Canıtez, kariyeri boyunca 5 Türkiye Ligi, 4 Türkiye Kupası ve 4 Cumhurbaşkanlığı Kupası şampiyonluğu yaşadı.

254 kez Ay-yıldızlı formayı giyen Canıtez, 2013 yılında Avrupa Şampiyonası üçüncülüğü ve 2014 Dünya Şampiyonası dördüncülüğü sevinci yaşadı.

Tuğçe Canıtez, 2012 Londra Olimpiyat Oyunları ile 2016 Rio Olimpiyat Oyunları’nda mücadele eden ay-yıldızlıların kadrolarında da bulundu.
